Shane Warne plays his last professional cricket match today leading out the Rajasthan Royals against the Mumbai Indians in their final game of the IPL season.

Warne has captained the Royals since joining them in 2008 following his retirement from Test cricket in 2007 with a haul of 708 wickets taken in 145 Tests for Australia, a record at the time before Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan overtook this total.

Perhaps best remembered for that ‘Ball of the Century‘ against Mike Gatting during the ’93 Ashes series, he was pretty handy with the bat too – who doesn’t remember the 2005 Ashes Series and top scoring for Australia in their 1st innings at Old Trafford.
