Up first in our all star cast is welivecricket’s very own blast from the past -
Christopher Paul Murtagh (born 14 October 1984 in Lambeth) is an English cricketer who played for Surrey from 2005 before being released in 2009. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls some questionable leg-spin. It was for Loughborough UCCE that he made his first-class debut in 2005. He is the younger of the Murtagh brothers and according to him the better looking of the two. In 2010, Mini was selected as one of 21 players to form the first Unicorns squad to take part in the Clydesdale Bank 40 domestic limited overs competition against the regular first-class counties. Currently he is the most valuable member of the Reigate Priory Cricket Club’s 1st XI and hopefully will be continuing long into his late 30′s.

Neil Clifford Saker (born 20 September 1984 in Tooting, London) is an English cricketer who played for Surrey & Kent. He is a tall fast bowler who came through the ranks at Surrey and was the first Academy player to be award a professional contract. In 2005 he was a regular feature in the one-day side and took 11 wickets in as many games, while he claimed 29 victims in the seconds, becoming Surrey’s top wicket-taker. Saker featured in seven County Championship matches in 2006 and showed potential as he claimed 14 wickets. He also showed form with the bat by scoring a half century against Essex. He struggled to cement a permanent spot in the Surrey side due to injuries. His best performance was 5-76 against Lancashire and his first scalp in First class cricket was Alistair Cook. Not bad hey! He is currently Captain of the Reigate Priory 1st XI juggling that with fixing leaks in the unpredictable English winter weather down in Surrey! If you require this service will be happy to pass you on!
