West Indies players locked in for test series in South Africa

The last month for West Indies cricket hasn’t been a good one. The players pulled out halfway through their tour of India in October after a contract dispute with their board (WICB). It has caused lots of controversy for the West Indies having to deal with an angry Indian board (BCCI) who threatened to sue for millions in compensation for this debacle.

The players were given till Tuesday the 18th November to sign their contracts. Only one who hasn’t signed up due to personal reasons is Darren Bravo. The batsman is the half-brother of Dwayne Bravo who was captain of the side in India.

Denesh Ramdin will remain as the Test captain and he has a full strength squad including crowd pleasing Chris Gayle amongst his ranks after shaking a recent injury. The final name will be announced in the coming week.
