December 16, 2011

Shane WarneLegendry leg spinner Shane Warne has been passed fit for his comeback match tomorrow for the Melbourne Stars at the MCG.

Warne’s comeback was in some doubt after he burnt the fingers on his bowling hand whilst cooking earlier in the week. However, today he was given the all clear to play by a hand specialist in Victoria.

The news that Warne is fit to play will delight what is expected to be a huge MCG crowd who have all bought tickets wanting to see their hero back in action again. Warne retired from international cricket back in January 2007 after Australia defeated England 5-0 in the Ashes.

Warne’s new fiancée Elizabeth Hurley has been invited to toss the coin in tomorrow’s match where The Stars take on Sydney Thunder.
