England fast bowler Chris Tremlett looks set to miss tomorrow’s second Test match in Abu Dhabi against Pakistan with a back injury.

Tremlett’s Test career has been blighted by continuous injuries, and has only featured in 11 Test matches since making his debut in 2007.

The Surrey fast bowler was unable to take part in today’s training session which indicates that he will struggle to compete for England over the next 5 days. If Tremlett missis out then it is thought that either Steven Finn or Graeme Onions will come into the side. England also have the option of turning to a second spinner in Monty Panesar.

Panesar took 8 wickets in England’s last warm up match indicating that he is ready for the challenge in the UAE.

England head into tomorrow Test match knowing that victory is required in order to give them a chance of winning this best of three series after defeat in the first Test in Dubai.
