The Barbados fast bowler Tino Best has been called into the West Indies squad for the second Test match at Trent Bridge after Shannon Gabriel was ruled out of the remainder of the tour with a stress fracture in his back.
Best arrives in England tomorrow and is straight into contention for the West Indies eleven that take the field in Nottingham on Friday. Best is a lively quick bowler who has played 14 Tests for his country. His last Test match was back in 2009 in Grenada against Bangladesh.
Best has forced his way back into contention after some consistent performances in the domestic 4 day competition back in the Caribbean, and will be hoping to add to his 28 Test wickets come Friday.
West Indies will know that despite a good performance at Lord’s another defeat will hand England the best of three series at Trent Bridge.
