England spinner Graeme Swann has flown home from India to be with his daughter who is unwell.
It is thought that Swann will return to India in time for the start of the first Test match on 15th November. Swann’s departure means that England will go into their third and final warm up match in India without three of their four front line bowlers.
Both Steven Finn and Stuart Broad are doubt’s for the first Test match after picking up niggles in the early part of the tour.
Jonathan Trott has played down suggestions that he will open the batting with Alastair Cook, leaving room for Nick Compton to take Andrew Strauss place at the top of the order.
In a statement relating to Graeme Swann the ECB said: “This is a personal matter and we would ask for everyone to give Graeme and his family privacy. We will not be making any further comment at this time.”
England will be hoping for the return of Swann who has been a key part of their success in recent times.
