Somerset 120-3 (18.5 overs) beat Worcestershire 119-7 (20 overs) by 7 wickets
Somerset cruised to a seven wicket victory over Worcestershire at New Road, with both sides qualifying for this year’s T20 quarter-finals.
Nick Compton top scored for the visitors with an unbeaten 42 helping Somerset overhaul Worcestershire’s total with 7 balls to spare. Victory for Somerset means they qualify as group winners, handing the county a home draw in this year’s quarter-finals.
The defeat left Worcestershire third in the in the table but still qualify for the quarter-finals by finishing on 11 points after third place Durham could only manage 10 points in the North group.
Sussex, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire are the other counties to have secured home ties. Gloucestershire, Hampshire and Essex qualify as best runners up.
