Sehwag seals win for Daredevils

Pune Warriors 146-2 (20 overs) v Delhi Daredevils 148-2 (16 overs)

Virender Sehwag smashed 87 from just 48 balls in helping the Delhi Daredevils beat Pune Warriors today in Pune by 8 wickets.

Batting first, Pune Warriors were immediately in trouble when they lost two wickets with just one run on the board. Jessie Ryder was bowled by Irfan Pathan without scoring and then captain Sourav Ganguly was dismissed by Morne Morkel for 1.

The Warriors were given a fighting chance when Manish Pandey (80*) and Robin Uthappa (60*) took the innings to 146-2 from 20 overs.

However Virender Sehwag made sure that this below par score was easily obtained by the Daredevils. Sehwag’s innings included 10 fours and 3 sixes. Kevin Pietersen also contributed 27 from 21 balls.
