Roy signs up for more with Surrey

We Live Cricket ambassador Jason Roy

Surrey young gun and We Live Cricket ambassador Jason Roy has signed a two year contract with Surrey County Cricket Club.

The hard hitting Roy is thought of very highly at The Oval, and brings with him a brand of cricket that has not been seen since Alastair Brown burst onto the scene twenty years ago.

Roy was a key member of the Surrey side that clinched the CB40 in September after defeating Somerset at Lords. In the competition Roy hit back to back centuries away from home ensuring his county finished top of their group.

Roy also featured in the championship side that gained promotion in their last match against Derbyshire. Although Roy only managed one century and one fifty in this format, it is clear that he has the ability to change a game when he is at the crease.

The 21 year-old has been selected this winter in the England performance squad where he will yet again team up with former batting coach at Surrey Graham Thorpe.
