Matt Prior has signed a new two year deal with Sussex County Cricket Club.

The new contract will see the England wicket-keeper remain with the county until the end of the 2013 season.

Prior, 29, has played 131 first class matches for Sussex scoring 7,130 runs in the process. The Johannesburg-born wicket-keeper has represented England 47 times in Test matches and has amassed 2,549 runs at a healthy average of 44.71.

Despite being England’s number one choice in Test match cricket, Prior is currently out of the ODI team which will mean that Sussex will have his services from time to time throughout the summer.
