Pakistan 470 and 107/3 beat Bangladesh 338 and 234 by seven wickets

Pakistan secured a comfortable victory today on day 5 of their Test match with Bangladesh, giving them a 2-0 series victory in the process.

Bangladesh started the day trailing Pakistan by 18 runs with just 5 second wickets in hand. Nasir Hossain gave the home side something to cheer about with a well-made 79. Despite this, Bangladesh were bowled out for 234 leaving Pakistan a modest total of 107 for victory in the fourth innings of the match.

Abdur Rehman did the most damage with the ball for Pakistan as he claimed 4-51. Rehman and Saeed Ajmal are becoming a potent spin force and England will expect to see a fair amount of these two in the UAE next month.

The visitors made no mistakes in achieving their victory target as they won the match by 7 wickets just after tea on the final day.

Pakistan have yet again shown that since the controversial events of match fixing earlier in the year, they have pulled to together and played some very consistent cricket.

The same could not be said for Bangladesh as again they have struggled to compete in a Test match series. Bangladesh have not won a Test match in 2011, and question marks must start to be raised about their ability to keep their Test match status.
