Northamptonshire County Cricket Club have announced that Cameron White will be joining the county for their 2012 Twenty20 campaign.

The Victorian all-rounder is seen by many as a Twenty20 specialist and features in several domestic Twenty20 competitions worldwide. White has two Twenty20 hundreds to his name, and is known for his big hitting towards the back end of an innings. White also bowls some handy part-time leg spin.

White has experience of county cricket where he spent some time captaining Somerset. The 28 year-old has also represented Australia in four Test matches.

Speaking of White’s signing Northants head coach, David Capel said: “Cameron comes to the County Ground with a proven track record, both internationally and domestically in the shorter forms of the game.”

White will arrive in mid-June when Northants T20 campaign gets underway.
