Geoff Allardice, the former Victorian batsman has been named as the new ICC general manager. He takes over from Dave Richardson who was earlier nominated as the Chief Executive Officer of the ICC.
45 year old Allardice has experience working with the Australian cricket board in various capacities. He was last associated with the board as general manager, cricket operations.
Richardson has said that the addition of Allardice into the ICC was significant. “Geoff has a wealth of knowledge and experience, gained during his time with Cricket Australia,” Richardson said. “I am looking forward to working with him and deploying his undoubted talent at the ICC.”
