England fast bowler Steven Finn is to spend a month with New Zealand based team Otago Volts at the conclusion of the ODI series in India.

It was felt that this stint in New Zealand will give the Middlesex pace bowler a chance to get some four-day cricket under his belt, before England’s series against Pakistan in January.

Finn who is currently bowling at speeds up over 90mph will be hopeful of selection on England’s tour to the UAE where he will look to improve on his 12 Test caps. Pakistan are playing their home matches in this part of the world because of security reasons.

Finn’s first match for the Volts is likely to be their clash with Canterbury on the 7th November in Rangiora. Finn will remain in New Zealand until 4th December before flying back to the UK.

Finn’s pace is seriously impressive. At 22 his could be one of England’s best ever fast bowlers

Huge nose though. A great prospect for English cricket and could be the next Mcgrath
