Warwickshire gained their first win of this year’s FLT20 competition thanks to a sensational innings by Laurie Evans who smashed 68 from just 41 balls.
Northants elected to bat first at Edgbaston, and posted 149/4 from their 20 overs. Cameron White, Northamptonshire’s overseas star top scored with 60 not out. He was well supported by Niall O’Brien who made 38 from 43 balls as the pair put on 62 for the third wicket.

Northamptonshire are still without a win in this year’s competition and will know in order to stand any chance of qualifying they must put a string of results together, starting at Bristol on Friday night when they take on Gloucestershire. Warwickshire’s next match is Thursday when Somerset travel up Birmingham.
