England rest players for one-day series

England have named their squad for the upcoming one-day matches against Australia and have decided to rest Alastair Cook, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Ian Bell and Graeme Swann after a long summer of Ashes cricket.

Eoin Morgan has been given the responsibility of captaining the team which contains uncapped names including Michael Carberry, Chris Jordan, Jamie Overton and Boyd Rankin.

England play two Twenty20 internationals against Australia before travelling to Ireland for an ODI on the 3rd September. England will then begin their 5 match ODI series against Australia on the 6th September. Despite missing the trip to Ireland, Kevin Pietersen, Joe Root and Jonathan Trott will return to the team to face Australia.
