Steven Davies the Surrey wicketkeeper has signed a new three-year contract with the London based county. The new contract will keep the 26 year old at Surrey until the end of the 2015 season.

Davies is currently in his third year as a Surrey player after making the move from Worcestershire in 2010. In 2011 Davies helped Surrey to the CB40 title and promotion back to division 1 of the County Championship.

Davies has also gone on to represent England in 13 limited over appearances and hopes to add to this by putting in some big performances for Surrey this year as they battle to avoid relegation.

Speaking about the new contract Davies told BBC London 94.9: “I’ve had a great three years since moving from Worcestershire and I think we’ve made some great progress. Surrey is a massive club and we want to win trophies. There’s lots of hard work to do.”
