Veteran off-spinner Robert Croft intends to play forĀ another two seasons for the Glamorgan County Cricket Club.

The former England player is about to embark on his 24th season in first-class cricket after making his debut for Glamorgan in 1989.

Croft will turn 42 in May, but believes he still has the hunger and fitness to play a couple more seasons for the Welsh based county.

Speaking about his future, Croft said: “I’m not looking at this season being my last. I’m looking at this season starting off well and trying to be in every team Glamorgan set out on that field. My enthusiasm for the game has not diminished at all. The fitness work gets harder. I try and get myself as fit as possible.”

Glamorgan will be hoping that Croft can help the county back into division 1 of the County Championship in 2012.
