Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has broken his foot in a Twenty20 international against India and is set to be out for up to a month with the injury.

Despite retiring from Test cricket, Lee remains part of the Australian one-day and Twenty20 squads. Lee suffered the injury on Friday night at the MCG when the ball was struck back at him in his final over.

Ben Hilfenhaus has been named in Australia’s squad as Lee’s replacement for the remaining one-day matches against India and Sri Lanka.

Lee will be hoping for a swift return in order to add to his 357 victims in the shorter form of the game. The New South Wales fast bowler took 310 Test match wickets in what was a golden era for Australian cricket.
