England fast bowler Tim Bresnan has undergone elbow surgery after feeling a high level of discomfort during England’s tour of India.

After some consideration it was decided that an operation was needed in order to remove a bone fragment. Despite the surgery, Bresnan is expected to be fit for England’s upcoming fixtures in the New Year.

England will play a three match Test series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates starting on 17th January.

After recovering from his operation, Bresnan will be hoping to add to his 10 Test match caps, 57 one-day internationals and 20 Twenty20 matches.
