Ball and Bell-Drummond stay at Kent

Both Adam Ball and Daniel Bell-Drummond have extended their current contracts at Kent County Cricket Club.

At just 18 both players have represented England U19’s, and have both featured in Kent’s first xi in 2011. The pair were graduates of Kent’s academy system where they learnt their trade.

Ball, a left arm seamer was a key player for Kent in all three competitions last year. In a total of 30 competitive matches for the club he contributed 36 wickets. Ball is currently the England U19 captain and gained his first professional contract down in Canterbury at the age of 16. Ball has penned a new three year deal with the county keeping him at Kent until the end of the 2014 season.

Bell-Drummond is a right handed opening batsman who featured for Kent in three County Championship matches last season, as well as five CB40 matches. Bell-Drummond has signed a two year deal at the county.

Both players will be hoping to feature for Kent in 2012 where they will look to push for promotion out of division two of the County Championship.
