Australia 153/3 (18.1 overs) beat West Indies 150 (20 overs) by 8 wickets

Australia produced an impressive display in St Lucia, beating the West Indies by 8 wickets to go 1-0 in the T20 series.

Batting first, West Indies posted a competitive 150/7 from their 20 overs. This was largely thanks to a blistering 54 not out from Kieron Pollard. The strong right-hander hit 2 fours and 5 towering sixes in an innings lasting just 26 balls.

Shane Watson was the most impressive of the Australian bowlers as he conceded just 16 runs from 4 overs with one wicket.

Despite losing opening batsman David Warner for a duck, Australia cruised to their target thanks to half centuries from Shane Watson and Mike Hussey. Watson made 69 from 43 balls, hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes in the process. He was eventually dismissed by Garey Mathurin.

Hussey (59*) and George Bailey (21*) finished the job for Australia with 11 balls to spare.
